My article was about the Facebook Timeline. Facebook just recently introduced the 850 billion users this. Its purpose is to make it easier to navigate all the social network events and it is easier to analyze everything. I think in the future pretty much everyone is going to be using the Facebook Timeline because it makes everything easier and faster for everyone. What surprised me the most was the amount of users that Facebook actually has, which is over 850 million active users. Also, I had no idea that the Facebook Timeline was created to make things easier, I just thought it was Facebook trying to create a new look, but personally i don't like it because instead of it making Facebook easier for me, it just makes things more difficult.

Technology is very important because its way to get communicate and get infomation quickly from other people. It has changed over the past five years because it is more effienct and more people are using it now. In the next five years i think it will change by it becoming more advanced. I use a computer and a printer for my school work to be able to type out papers and find information. For personal use i my cell phone, my ipod, and a computer. In the future i could use the blogger to share my personal opinon on things and i can use delicious to find wesites that can help me find more information on something. I think the igoolge is the most pratcitcal for life long learning. i'll probably never us the avatars again though. My favorite thing to create was the wiki because i thought it was intresting, and my least favorite was the podcasts becasue they were difficult to make.

Cyber Bully Video

I think this movie was a good way to show how cyberbulling really affects people. What we talked about it class was that some people create fake accounts to cyberbully others while being annoymouns, and thats what happend in the movie. Some differences were that ususally people don't stand up to their bully in front of everyone, like how "Taylor" did in the movie.

Podcast/ bullying

i listened to a podcast on bullying. I did like learning this way becasue i find it more intresting to listen to someone rather than read it myself. I think people should make podcast opposed to written texts because it's much easier to get someone attention in my opinon. I think the information is realiable because it was proven facts.

Blabberize V.S Voki

Blabberize and Voki are both great sites, but they're different. Voki has the character move its mouth without you adjusting it and blabberize you have to do it yourself. I think Voki is way easier because of that reason because i found it hard to cut out the mouth on the person i chose. So i defiently like Voki a lot better, but honestly i wouldn't use this site again unless i had too. You can pretty much use these sites for any class.

Online Safety Wrap Up

When using the internet the most important thing is not to give out any of your personal imformation. Never talk to anyone you are not familiar with because that person could be someone totally different from who they say they are. There are many child predators out on the internet that you have to be careful of, thats why you don't talk to anyone you do not know. If someone messages you an inapporiate message the best thing to do is ignore it, and show a parent guardian. Don't post provoctive pictures online because it attracts people that aren't always good.

Your Photo's Fate

The video shows a girl who sent a guy a "hot picture" of herself and once she sent it she no longer had any control over it. The guy sent it to his and they sent it to their friends and so on, so now everyone has seen the picture of her that was just meant for him to see.

Tracking Teresa

Teresa gave out her first name, what she likes to do, and her brother's name. Yes i have and i didn't think it was that big of a deal at first, but now i realize that by doing that predators can figure out my other information. Not to talk to anyone you are not familar with because they're not always who they say they are.

Social Networking and Digital Footprint

Social networking is websites that you can communicate with other people through, such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. It’s an easier way to interact and get in touch with people you are friends with, family, or people you have not seen in a long time.  Digital footprint is a digital footprint is a collection of activities and behaviors recorded when an entity, such as a person, interacts in a digital environment. It may include the recording of activities such as system login and logouts, visits to a web-page, accessed or created files, or emails and chat messages. Social networking affects my digital footprint because once you post something such as a status or picture it’s on the internet forever and you never know who will see it, because pretty much anybody can have the opportunity too.

Copyright

Copyright is the legal rights, given to an originator or assignee to print, publish, film, or to record. Downloading music is simple, but what isn’t are the copyright protection laws that people are breaking everyday by downloading music tracks off the internet.  What is illegal is copying unauthorized commercial music. Most sites say that it is legal to download music, but most are misleading. If the site seems too good to be true then most likely it is.

Lil Wayne V.S Rolling Stones copyright case

Lil Wayne sued for stones copyright breach

The music company that owns the Rolling Stones song “Playing with Fire” sued Lil Wayne for releasing an alternate version of the song without permission. They said Lil Wayne's "Playing with Fire" is a clear derivative of the Rolling Stones song with the original lyrics and music altered in a recognizable way. One of the example they used in the suit was a lyric from the Stones song is "But don't play with me, 'cause you're playing with fire," and the Lil Wayne version has the line, "But you can't blame me if I set this stage on fire." The company also said that Lil Wayne's version uses "explicit, sexist and offensive language" and they didn’t like it because they said it could lead the public to believe the company and the Rolling Stones approved of and authorized the new version. The type of case was about music.

Spain Power Point Project

My Favorite part about my project was my tour stops because I thought they were pretty interesting places to go. My least favorite was the history on it because I couldn’t find that much information on it. What I learned about Spain was that they have running of the bulls in the streets; I always thought it was in a caged arena. My weak point was my sources because I forgot to save them and they did not show up in my presentation. A suggestion on a research project would probably be do a power point on a famous person.

My Year in Review

The hightlight of 2011 was my very first day of highschool. Another hightlight for me was homecoming dance, that was one of my favorites. My low point would be having my Aunt Linda pass away and finding out my Grandma has cancer. I don’t think I would have done anything differently because everything turned out to be good this past year. My goals for 2012 are to get straight A’s and to try new things, oh and too make new friends. If I was given $100,000 to start the new year I would put it away for college.
